Ceramic Implants
One of the latest innovations in dentistry is the use of a ceramic material called zirconium oxide, and only high-end dentists are offering it. Check out some details about our CeraRoot implants below and then contact us for a consultation.

Esthetics
Ceramic implants are white in color and thus overcome many shortcomings of the metal titanium implants. This is specially important in patients with thin or translucent gums, where the implant may shine through the gum tissue, giving a gray appearance. Moreover, the aging process is frequently associated with recession of the gum and the metal of the titanium implant may become visible in the mouth. Since zirconia is non-metallic and white, it is much more natural looking than titanium. It’s a perfect base color that closely mimics what nature created in the first place.
Biocompatibility
CeraRoot implants are made from zirconia, a material given the designation ‘ultra-biocompatible’ since it is a ceramic material that fosters complete assimilation into jaw bone.
A recent microscopic study performed at the University of Minnesota confirmed optimal osseointegration of CeraRoot implants without any signs of inflammation or foreign body rejection. Other scientists have also reported that zirconia is an ideal material for dental implants.
Corrosion Resistance
Zirconia is biocompatible material that is resistant to chemical corrosion, nor will it conduct electricity or heat. As a bioinert material, it will never trigger chemical reactions, migrate to other sites in the body or interfere with the maintenance of optimal oral health.
Titanium implants can corrode in the wet environment of a mouth, especially if there is more than one metal in the vicinity (such as amalgam fillings, alloy metal crowns, bridges or gold onlays / inlays) to trigger reactions. Metal corrosion is even more active in the presence of fluoride that is free flowing in some water supplies, toothpastes and mouthwashes.
Strength
The long term success of the CeraRoot implants is the most important aspect of the system. The implants have been designed to withstand the masticatory forces of the mouth. The CeraRoot zirconia implants’ function is to replace specific teeth in the mouth in the most biologically sound approach. For this reason both the diameter and length must be similar to those of natural teeth.
Holistic
CeraRoot implants do not interfere with the movement of energy though the body’s meridians. And since zirconia implants are bioinert, they’re a perfect tooth replacement solution for patients who adhere to holistic health principles.
Hypoallergenic
An increasing number of people are developing allergies, sensitivities and other skin or immune system alterations that may contraindicate the implantation of a metal device into the body. Most of the cases of titanium implant allergies are developed after long-term exposure with the metal. This means that although the patient may not have an allergy or sensitivity on the day of surgery, they may develop the allergy after some years of direct contact and exposure with the metal. This allergy may cause itching, redness, discomfort and inflammation that may lead to bone loss around the implant.
One-piece Design
Traditional titanium implant systems consist of two metal components (the implant that’s lodged into the jaw and the abutment that sits above the gumline) joined together with a fixation screw. Micro-movement can occur where these pieces meet when under the extreme pressure of chewing, thus creating warm, moist places where anaerobic bacteria have an opportunity to colonize. It’s a perfect setup for an unfortunate cascade of events to follow: the bacteria release toxins, inducing inflammation around the implant, which can lead to bone loss and the possibility of implant failure.
One-stage Surgery
The CeraRoot implant placement is done in a one-stage approach. The implants are specially designed for the immediate placement after a tooth extraction. Moreover a minimal invasive surgery may be possible in cases with no infections and sufficient bone where the implant may be placed through the gum without having to make incisions and suture to the gum. Fewer stages means fewer visits and less time spent recovering.

Full Mouth Reconstruction
Full mouth reconstruction is a way to completely change or rehabilitate the way your mouth looks. The size, shape, color and position of your teeth can all be changed to look exactly how you want. To accomplish this, we may utilize various procedures, including: crowns, bridges, some implants, veneers, root canals, fillings, etc. Most reconstructions cost from $9,000 – $15,000 (USD).
Reconstruction can restore a mouth lost to decay and misuse, correct problems from birth, or just change the look of your mouth and smile. The result is a boost in your confidence, self-esteem and quality of life.
