Dr. Rodrigo Guerra, a dental surgeon with Guatemala Dental, graduated from the Universidad Francisco Marroquín (Guatemala). He maintains continuing education with and is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, an American Dental Association (ADA) CERP Recognized Provider. He has also completed the EM Academy Course – 3Ps of Partial Extraction Therapy: Preparation, Procedure and Provisionals (2023), recognized by the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2023 Dr. Guerra completed a CeraRoot ceramic dental implants course in 2023 by the American College of Biocompatible Health, a Nationally Approved PACE Program Provider.

Dr. Guerra has inherited from his grandfather and father (Dr. Oscar Guerra) the tradition for quality and perfection in his work as well as a dedication to his patients – characteristic of the Guerra doctors for three generations. To this day, he works shoulder-to-shoulder with his father, Dr. Oscar Guerra, at Guatemala Dental.

He is experienced in both the technical and clinical fields of prosthetics and dental cosmetics. Dr. Guerra’s expertise in this area has enabled him to become an advisor and leader in the field to his peers.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Guerra works with the Rotary Club’s one-day dental clinics to care for poor patients in some of the country’s most remote locations.

Dr. Oscar Armando Guerra Berducido was born to be in the dental field.

His father, Fermín Guerra Díaz, and his uncles owned a dental laboratory where they made complete, removable, and fixed dentures. It was one of the most renowned laboratories in all of Central America and southern Mexico. From a very young age, Dr. Guerra was exposed to the dentistry and all that accompanied it.

Dr. Guerra studied at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala and has had his own practice since 1982, where he combines his technical and scientific knowledge for the benefit of the patient. In 1987, he started his own laboratory, where the highest quality prosthetics needed for the clinic were made in the shortest time possible.

He started working with dental implants in 1995 receiving dental implant training seminars from Imtec Dental Implants in Boca Ratón Florida USA 1999 to Sterngold (dental implant and prosthetics program) in Boston 2007, to Botiss Academy (bone augmentation & regeneration) 2017. And by now he has placed more than 2,000 dental implants.

In addition to his good looks and charm, Dr. Guerra has passed down his love of dentistry to his son, Dr. Rodrigo Guerra (Dr. War) who he works hand-in-hand with at Guatemala Dental.

Dr. Jefferson  Jimenez is the first dental doctor in his family. He studied at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.

Dr. Jimenez always liked medicine and helping other people, so he decided to study dentistry so he could help people smile. He loves when people smile and feels it is a pleasure to be able to help people have a better smile.

He is a newly graduated doctor but has the passion and the energy to give the best service possible. He is constantly learning and improving every day to be a better dentist and person.

Dr. José Carlos Manuel Rosa Morales is a dedicated general dentist who approaches his career with great passion. He is committed to acquiring practical skills for continuous professional growth and gaining experience in the work environment.

His solid academic background has equipped him with technical skills and extensive theoretical knowledge in the field of dentistry. Mr. Rosa is highly adaptable and eagerly learns new techniques, qualities that enable him to effectively handle challenges in a clinical setting. He is a consistent, dedicated professional focused on offering quality care and continuous improvement of his competencies.

He is currently pursuing a Licentiate in Stomatology from Universidad Mariano Gálvez de Guatemala, projected for 2025. He previously earned a Licentiate in Business Administration from Universidad San Carlos de Guatemala in 2019 and a Technical degree in Business Administration from Universidad Mariano Gálvez de Guatemala in 2015. He also volunteered in an Odontological Journey to Chimaltenango (2023).

He possesses strong leadership skills, excellent capacity to work autonomously and in a team, and is effective in communication and patient treatment.

Dr. Patricia Estrada Marroquín is a dental surgeon with Guatemala Dental. Dr. Estrada began her professional education at Colegio Bethania, Guatemala and also studied dental surgery at Universidad Francisco Marroquín. She received her Masters in Periodontology and Implantology from Universidad Andrés Bello, Santiago, Chile.

Dr. Estrada is an active member of the Colegio Estomatológico de Guatemala as well as the Asociación de Periodoncia de Guatemala.

She has had extensive experience in private practice and is also currently a clinical instructor in the undergraduate program at the Universidad Francisco Marroquín.

Dr. Cromwell Macal Méndez is a Physician and Surgeon (Colegiado No. 15,320). He holds a Master’s in Medical Sciences with a Specialization in Anesthesiology. He is an active member of the Guatemalan Association of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation, and Pain Treatment (AGARTD) and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Guatemala (Colmedegua).

Dr. Macal currently serves as a Medical Specialist in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at IGSS. He also works as an Anesthesiologist at the MeDHos Day Hospital. He has extensive experience as an Independent Anesthesiologist providing sedation for dental and ophthalmic clinics, and as a Courtesy Medical Anesthesiologist for numerous hospital units.

Dr. Macal earned his Licentiate in Physician and Surgeon from the Faculty of Medicine at Universidad Francisco Marroquín (2003-2010), graduating Cum Laude. He completed his Master’s in Medical Sciences with a Specialization in Anesthesiology from the School of Postgraduate Studies at Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala (2012-2015), graduating Magna Cum Laude. He was also recognized for having the “Best Average of Anesthesiology Residents of the IGSS” during the academic cycles of 2012, 2013, and 2014.

His work experience includes serving as Chief Resident of Anesthesiology (2015) and a Medical Resident for the Master’s program (2012-2014) at the Guatemalan Social Security Institute (IGSS).
